Introduction to Sync Host

Online functionality has become a fundamental component of our games. This is an introduction to Sync Host, a system developed to address some of the tougher issues we’ve encountered when implementing network synchronization.

oh and would this be for like a new game or a patch for resistance 2 for example?

Good presentation. What I'm missing is how you'd handle packet loss, or would you rather implement a layer below that, although UDP, still guarantees that all data arrives at some point?
